People's Tribune Council Letter to the President

Dear Mr. President,

In lieu of your January 20, 2017 inaugural promise to return power to the people, we have formed a PEOPLE'S TRIBUNE COUNCIL to ensure that mandate is fulfilled. We write on behalf of Americans persecuted under a DOJ weaponized under previous administrations, urgently seeking decisive action on their behalf.

"Today we are not merely transferring power from one Administration to another, or from one party to another—but we are transferring power from Washington, D.C. and giving it back to you, the American People. January 20th, 2017, will be remembered as the day the people became the rulers of this nation again."

Mr. President, your mandates to restore the American People are being mishandled, and your own Executive Orders are being disregarded. It is abundantly clear that the government no longer represents the best interests of the People as enumerated in the Constitution. The sacred principle of Rule of Law has degraded into abusive rule by law, and the term "lawfare" is ubiquitous—a condition that led the people of England to compel King John to sign Magna Carta in 1215. As James Madison wrote, "The People are the only legitimate fountain of power."

When the government was weaponized against you and your family, Mr. President, the American people stood with you. Now, citizens targeted simply for protecting their families and their country ask for you to stand with them and honor them as the heroes and patriots they are. The Council is stepping forward as ambassadors to safeguard their constitutional rights by communicating them directly to you.

Ordinary citizens were pursued and prosecuted with stunning speed, yet even under your leadership, the public knows that justice is not available for ordinary Americans—an imbalance that could have profound consequences.

You gave the power back to the People in 2017; as upstanding citizens, we are ready to exercise that power. We are ready to sit at the table with you on behalf of the American People. We sign this letter in good faith that you will keep your word to the citizens of our great nation.
